ISPDefender
ISPDefender is a firewall. But it is more than a firewall. It actively protects your devices beyond what a normal firewall can do.
The Problem
Firewalls prevent access to unauthorized services on servers and other devices protected by the firewall. They have never been able to keep intruders out completely, but instead make it more difficult for these intruders to access your devices. With ISPDefender, you will have the potential to remove any unauthorized users without the overhead of manual monitoring that is required by firewalls.
Hackers are knowledgeable, and change their tactics based on the situation. They are knowledgeable about stateful firewalls, so ISPDefender takes the next step for firewalls. It is a smarter device that actively protects your servers and other IP devices.
Active Protection
ISPDefender is no longer just a firewall. We've taken what used to be just a defensive wall, and placed tripwires around it.
So what makes it an active firewall? Most firewalls let you tell them what people can't do, and everything else is open. By being an active firewall, not only do we limit access, but we put a stop on those that continue to try to break in, even to services they're authorized to access. For example, an email user is authorized to send and receive his own email, but when that authorized users tries to break into someone else's email account, ISPDefender blocks his access to the email server and all other servers being protected.
Our automated system stops the bad users, so that the valid users are safer and more confident in your systems.
No Special Treatment
In the age of a global network, you can rarely trust anyone all of the time. For example, if a users computer gets infected by a virus, the firewall will generally be the first to know, depending on the type of virus. Though the firewall has the ability to allow all traffic from an IP Address, in most cases we treat all computers equally. By blocking a good users PC that has been infected, it prevents unwanted damage to the system and even helps the user to the fact that he has been infected.
